Artist History
Madrigal are working with complex song structures to give the music its unique style, while this degree of complexity doesn't hamper the dynamic flow of their live performance. It is difficult to assign Madrigal's music to a certain style. All musicians are coming from different fields - rock, pop and metal fragments are being worked in as well as jazzrock- and fusion elements, combined with the excellent vocal performance of Sandra Werner. The most fitting term still seems to be "progressive rock" probably. The Band exists since August 1992 and has been performing on stages in and round Hannover (Germany) since middle of 1993 ("headquarter": Capitol). The biggest success so far was the winning of the "Hannover muckt auf" competition in April 1995 in front of 2,000 people. During this period the band produced their first demo tape as well. The 20 minutes lasting tape contains three very different songs which cover the band's whole musical range.Early in 1996 the band convinced as support for Victory at the charity festival "Osterei des Jahres".The mini CD "Silence" was completed and released in spring last year. Some live dates followed. Since the beginning of 1998 Madrigal are being managed by an agency (CARACALLA Media) which in particular supports the band on their search for a record company. That's also why the band recorded a promo tape at the beginning of June this year that represents the evolution of the band's sound. In future, as well, the band will seize any opportunity they get to be present on stage again. Eventually they plan to become famous still this year! So let's see what will happen... |
