Artist History It's a dark evening.You're going down the street among blocks of concrete throwed about.A cold wind is throwing about papers and foil-bags.In the distance you can hear an annoyingsound of a car alarm.From yellow orbits of windows, sounds of dull,man's bustle are reachingyour ears. Baby's crying ,drunken shouts and mumble flowing from hundreds of TV's.Suddenly , you can hear a discordance that is stealing into the urban symphony.It is strongerand stronger and more and more clear. You are following the source of this sound.Dusty, red neon light that forms "BAR" is hanging over the opened door.You distinguish characteristic voice and sounds of two acoustic guitars. You are coming in.There is nobody inside.You're looking round a dark , smoky place. A cigarette is still smoldering in a ashtrey on a counter. You can see a computer at the end of the bar.You press a button. And it's all clear now.You know ,that you're listening to Darek Dusza and Jurek Mercik. They're playinga little bit out of tune.Merc is singing with his angel-demon voice.Songs in neo urban psycho folk style ,about city,people,events. About everything that surrounds you and that you can notice if only your IQ is higher than earthworm's.You keep listening to them and you wonder who are these guys.Darek Dusza - the guitarist, the composer (whatever it means) , the author of various texts.Jurek Mercik - the vocalist, the composer (as above), today also the author of texts and the guitarist.For the first time they met at the beginning of the 80's ,in the group :"Śmierć Kliniczna",the legendary punk-new wave band. After that , their careers separated.Mercik amazed everybody by his talent in the best Polish reggae group :RAP.Dusza was playing in Absurd and Shakin'Dudi at the same time.Then , he was playingin The Dudis ,Darmozjady ,Chuligani and other strange projects.He also wrote texts for Dżemand blues image of Dudek.After RAP had broke up , Mercik was playing in films , composing , and singing in various vanguard bands.And now , they are together again. A little bit older but not more grown-up. A little bit changed , but in reality , the same. And here we have the music. And this is the only placeyou can listen to it. Jest ciemny wieczór. Idziesz ulicą pośród bezładnie porozrzucanych brył betonu. Zimny wiatr rozrzuca wkoło papiery i foliowe torby. W oddali słychać natrętny jazgot samochodowego alarmu. Z żółtych oczodołów okien dobiegają Cię odgłosy szarej, ludzkiej krzątaniny. Płacz dziecka, pijackie krzyki i wszechobecny bełkot płynący z setek telewizorów. Nagle słyszysz, że w tę miejską symfonię wkrada się dysonans, coraz mocniejszy i wyraźniejszy. Podążasz w stronę źródła tego dźwięku. Zakurzony, czerwony neon z napisem "Bar" wisi nad otwartymi drzwiami. Coraz wyraźniej rozróżniasz charakterystyczny głos i dźwięki dwóch akustycznych gitar. Wchodzisz. W środku nie ma nikogo. Rozglądasz się niepewnie po ciemnym, zadymionym wnętrzu. W popielniczce, na kontuarze jeszcze tli się papieros. Muzyka gra coraz głośniej. Na końcu baru zauważasz komputer. Naciskasz dowolny klawisz. I wszystko staje się jasne. Już wiesz, że słuchasz Darka Duszy i Jurka Mercika. Tak, to oni rzępolą na lekko rozstrojonych pudłach. Tak, to Merc śpiewa swym anielsko - diabelskim głosem. Pieśni, piosenki, pioseneczki. W stylu neo urban psycho folk. O mieście, o ludziach, o zdarzeniach. O tym, co Cię otacza i co możesz zauważyć, mając IQ wyższe od dżdżownicy. Słuchasz dalej i zastanawiasz się, kim są Ci faceci? Darek Dusza - gitarzysta, kompozytor (cokolwiek to oznacza), autor tekstów różnych. Jurek Mercik - wokalista, kompozytor (jak wyżej), obecnie również autor tekstów i gitarzysta. Spotkali się po raz pierwszy w zespole Śmierć Kliniczna, legendarnym punkowo - nowofalowym bandzie,na początku mrocznych lat osiemdziesiątych. Później ich drogi się rozeszły. Mercik zadziwił wszystkich swoim talentem w najlepszym polskim zespole reggae, jakim był RAP. Dusza grał jednocześnie w Absurdzie i szalał w Shakin` Dudi. Później w The Dudis, Darmozjadach, Chuliganach i innych dziwnych projektach. Znany również z tekstów dla Dżemu i bluesowego wcielenia Dudka. Mercik po rozwiązaniu RAP występował w filmach, komponował i śpiewał w różnych awangardowych składach. A teraz są znowu razem. Trochę starsi, lecz nie doroślejsi. Trochę inni, lecz właściwie tacy sami. I jest muzyka.
