Artist History
Have been a sucessful songwriter-musician working in London, Brazil and New Zealand where I now live. I have been Awarded New Zealand Songwriter of the Year twice (APRA silver Scroll) and have had songs recorded by Ringo Starr, Demis Roussos, Roger Whittaker and other '70s artists while living in London. Also wrote film and TV sound track music (Cassandra Crossing, The Big Sleep' etc whille affiliated with ATV Music. Dropped out to travel, marry and get into advertising.Did a lot of TV radio and sound production.Crashed and burned a couple of years ago with Multiple Sclerosis, discovered the joys of sequencing using synth and pc. Which means now I feel I write better then beforeand can 'play' without limitations of fingers and personal style - I no longer have ability to play keyboards and guitar (everything you hear is annotated by 'point'n'click' in Cakewalk and played back through a Roland Sound Canvas SC8850.Recently have won a few awards on the Net including three times winner of the Sound Canvas Users Group 'SCUGLite award' with MIDI versions of the material here. I hope that what I am managing to do can inspire other suddenly disabled musicians who feel that life is over just because they may have lost the use of their hands and fingers :) |
