Artist History
In 1995, a kid with a dream sat down and began writing down his trials and tribulations in an empty black book. As the years went by, the pages began filling up, and the pieces began to fit. As the story goes on, Adrin took his book and transformed his teenage angst into songs about growing up, living life, and paying his dues throughout the Aging Process. He ran into a couple other musicians looking to start a band, and they decided to get together and jam one day. After a few months of practice the band eventually moved from playing in the garage to playing different parties and weekend shows around town. They bounced from club to club, building themselves a small following. In the spring of 1998, Aging Process was offered the opportunity to be recorded on a friend's 4-track home recorder. They gladly accepted the offer, and went in to record a 5 song (live) demo (Up and Coming). After completing their demo, they continued to play local shows around town, hoping to develop their name with their new demo and their energetic live performances. The band decided in the fall of 1999 that they wanted to record another demo. They shopped around for some local independent labels and they stumbled across producer/engineer Adam "Bomb" Segal, who spent years touring with the San Jose based skate-punk band, The Faction. Adam owned and ran AVD Records, a local independent label dedicated to recording the punk rock sounds of Las Vegas. Jumping on the opportunity, Aging Process practiced hard and tightened up their sound before heading to the studio to record with AVD Records. In December of 1999, Aging Process went in and self-produced a 5 song demo with AVD Records. The songs were featured on the later released "Bombed in Las Vegas (Volume One)" Compilation off of AVD Records. Throughout 2000 and 2001, Aging Process decided that it was time to record a full length album. So they experimented with some musicians, and found the sound they were looking for. Aging Process rented a rehearsal studio, and start working hard on songs for the album as a 3-piece band. Aging Process practiced hard and polished up a few older tunes, but mostly concentrated on writing new material.
Aging Process' debut album, "For All Those Left Behind" was recorded from May through October of 2001. They came up with a variety of ideas for the album, but chose "For All Those Left Behind" to express the endless ups and downs when it comes to being in a band. It's a concept that is made to reflect on the history of the band. Whether it's heartbreaks, stolen cars, or stolen guitars, Aging Process lives to sing another song.
