    local recovering alcoholic and poet mikel k forms a band in the studio that since came about to destroy the atlanta scene. 6 diverse people with the goal of pushing the artistic envelope all while cashing in.

    THE MIKEL K BAND ARE:Danny Simmons...guitar. Atlanta’s most versatile guitarist. Founding member of the hippy-psychedelic band, THE GRAPES. Member of some of Atlanta’s hardcore punk bands, BEEFHEAD & KNUCKLE, and performed the rock-opera “DOUG”. Tony Gordon...bass. The founder of the Atlanta band, CHARLIE PARKER, the experimental jazz-noise band that is garnering national attention. He is also the co-host of WREK’s “Destroy all Music Show”. Dale W Miller...drumkit. Honed his skills through out the Northeast. Established himself in Atlanta by recording and/or performing live with nine inch nails guitarist ROBIN FINCK, ex-Follow For Now guitarist CHRIS TINSLEY, STEVIE T, CHARLIE PARKER and various hip-hop and avant-garde acts. He is also a founding member of the performance art space 185cool. Glenn Rhodes Weinstein...electric piano, didjeridu. An incredibly creative musician. He was the musical director for “DOUG”, written by CLAY HARPER. He was the founder of RONE37 and is presently performing in an ethnic percussion group featuring members of the OPENING CEREMONIES DRUM CORPS. K...words. “The CHARLES BUKOWSKI of Al-Anon” was honored with a song named after him on current Real World artist JOSEPH ARTHUR’S new album. Billy Fields...keyboards, samples. Atlanta’s most established and nationally known keyboardist. A founding member of FOLLOW FOR NOW (chrysalis records) & Sub-Terranian Circus and has also recorded and performed with ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT & DIONE FARRIS.
