Artist History Talent Scam began gigging in the Central Florida Area and later released a self-produced 3-song cassette simply titled The Blue Collection (1998). This release gained the group a small but loyal following, as well as several notable gigs which include The National Kidney Foundation Surf Festival, Walt Disney World's Typhoon Lagoon, and opening slots for several national touring acts. With their upcoming self-titled CD, their song writing style and recording techniques have matured into what has become their signature sound; power-chord guitars and smooth 3-part harmonies mixed in with catchy, sing-along melodies. Their new sound can be partly attributed to the addition of Nathan Glenn on guitar/vocals. Togehter, the combination of distinct influnces help to give the band's sound a broader range of rhythms and textures without sacrificing the energy and excitement that the band has become known for.
