Artist History
Loud, energetic and taking a page from such bands as Black Sabbath, Soundgarden, Tool and Rush,Swampjaw has released their debut EP, “OVERBITE”,recorded in October of 1999. Their sound is angry and emotionally driven, yet somehow they manage to fuse it with a unique musical ambiance. The core of this group came together in 1997 when Bassist Bob Cushing and Guitarist David Utorka started writing the base material that would define the sound of the band. Drummer David Fyffe and Vocalist Darron DeGrate rounded out the line-up in 1998 and the group performed their first show January 13th, 1999. Since that time, they have attracted a loyal following of fans in the Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex. Swampjaw has been performing consistently and shows no signs of slowing down. |
