    Artist description
Ralph Bryan plays an original mixture of older and newer music styles. His songwriting abilities, as well as his immense talents as a musician/vocalist, shine brightly on his CD, 'Lonely For You'. On it, he is supported, musically, by some of the best sidemen in the business and has been a great one himself for many years. 'Lonely For You' is a collection of "blue and lonesome" love-songs, drawn from real experience in Ralph's personal life (especially with one particular woman), and the feeling and depth of the lyrics and music touch your very soul! On this CD, Ralph displays versatility in both skill and style (having previously established quite a local reputation as a masterful Blues guitarist). The music ranges from 50s-style rockabilly and doo-wop to blues-rock and tasteful commercial (old-school) pop. He does all the vocals and guitars. Ralph also plays bass on three of the tracks. (Evan Palmerston--Elvin Bishop Band, on the others; Jack Jacobsen--formerly Huey Lewis & The News, plays organ, and Johnny Campbell--The Pulsators, is the drummer). Ralph is presently working on an Acoustic/Electric Blues Guitar album, and has an impressive catalog of songs of various styles.........

    Artist History
Ralph Bryan was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland; At age 17, he started playing in neighborhood bands, soon graduating to playing clubs in Baltimore, Washington, D.C. and vicinity. He played and sang (at age 18) with bandmates of the even-then-legendary Roy Buchannan); Went to New York City in 1967 (age 19) with first 'Rock' band to record songs from 'HAIR', for RCA Records-- There are photos of Ralph in the centerfold ad in several 1968 Guitar Player magazines (for EKO guitars)--Jorge' Strunz (Strunz & Farrah) was also in the band--and the ad. (The band was called, 'The Collection')....In '68, Ralph moved to Hollywood and got into doing sessions for Columbia, Capitol and Paramount releases, as well as many independent sessions. Ralph later moved north to the San Francisco Bay Area and played on many demo sessions, including several for Epic Records, done at the old Record Plant in Sausalito. .....Clearly, Ralph Bryan has been around quite a few musical blocks, from the cold streets of Baltimore, Washington, D.C. and Manhattan to the hot streets of L.A. and finally to the mellow North Bay Area of coastal California, where he now resides. .....Brushes With Greatness: In his travels through the music industry for the last three decades, Ralph has been in the company of many incredible and, occasionally, legendary players and singers, having actually played music, at least once, with (among many others) the following: Eddie Money, Snooky Flowers, Evan Palmerston, Huey Lewis, Earl Thomas, J.J. Malone, Johnny Nitro, John Allair, Thomas Yearsley, James Montgomery, Stu Blank, Lucky Otis, Jesse Ed Davis, Willy Jordan, Jim Boggio, Nicky Otis, Jim Keltner, Jackie Payne, Jimmy Witherspoon, C.P.
