Artist description
LRC is a flavorful of variety, the ranges of musicianship is that of a Renaissance man. They scatter throughout their hybrid of originality through the description just electronic. Don?t let that deceive you though, they range from an alternative hip hop, to a intense roller coaster ride that is electronica, back through a loop hole that has industrial/rock. There is not just one genre for this two piece outfit consisting of Landon Reidy and Rob Clark. They know not limitations and they?re going to exceed what everyone else calls Electronic music. |

Artist History
It started back in the the sophomore year (1995), of Landon Reidy and Rob Clark Jr.'s high school career when they were going to start a Seattle sounding grunge band. After learning the golden oppurtunities of being in a band and having a love for music, they wanted to quickly form Nay-Zen. They had one drawback: To be in a band you need a guitar and other such instruments!!!! That Christmas Landon got a acoustic guitar...... That summer Rob went to Washington where he grew up and when he returned with his new / classical guitar, and they formed with a guitarist friend (Brandon Baker) into a carnation called Waterporch.
A year later the idea sifted away, the three had issues.... So they parted, about a year later the three artists rekindled their same interests in music and got a real drummer (James Burkett) and formed a band together under many different names as including: Project X, Thurteen, My Pet Monster, Point Blank, and Ignition. The line up consisted of James Burkett - drums, percussion; Rob Clark Jr - bass; Landon Reidy - lead guitar; Brandon Baker - rhythm guitar, vocals. But as fate decided Landon left, he wasn't interested in making only heavy metal. A week later the drummer (James Burkett) was literally tossed out. Leaving only two, Rob and the Brandon struggled to keep the band going. They even got a replacement drummer (Chelsea Clegg Jr.) and a two different guitarists, but fate also decided that Rob had to leave to pursue a more interesting musical theory.
In the process of all the confusion when the movie The Matrix came out Landon and Rob were totally excited about it and downloaded a few of the voice samples. With the capabitlities of Cool Edit 96 they mix their own brand of electronic music to the samples. Thus was the beginning of LRC. After working on songs that primarily electronica the two began missing the full band element. So the summer of 2001 they sat down with guitarist Jesse Baker, and drummer Matt Blosco - and gave them a cd with all the band material that would be able to be reproduced live. the four worked on it for about a month and were getting ready for a sort of battle of the bands for a record deal, well the drummer had to go to college the day of the concert and was way too far out of the way of making it to the show so Landon and Rob decided to hang up their guitars and make more music. They did just that, they have created well over 23 different albums to date.
After another year of making newer material, Landon and Rob collaborated with The Woody Wood Sound's producer Jason White on two tracks. he seemed to be impressed and he quickly booked LRC a show in Sharon, PA. With only a months time Landon and Rob were in a state of madness, so quickly they asked old friend Chelsea Clegg Jr. if hed like to drum for them again, he agreed. Then they made a new friend by this time Eric Mc Cullough who is the newest addition to the group.

Press Reviews
This is an email I received:hey there, thanks a lot for taking time to check us out a while back--sorry for the delay in getting back to you . I checked out LRC, and definitely liked whatI heard. There are so few of us it seems in the Ohio area with any good mixture of electronic music, my observation of the scene is just Korn wannabes or out dated bad 80's metal rockers, oh and lets not forget about 13,000,000 punk bands... Needless to say, I enjoyed the electronica and industrial stuff the most--I am a huge fan of the squelchy synths, dreamy arpeggiated lines and really full and active music, and I thought they were all used very tastefully (highlights for me track wise were dance on the wind, panning future and your behovior). Keep up the nice work, and thanks again for the encouragement--my favorite part of the mp3.com site is underground artists being able to make contact and give feedback. Nick Bain-omif I might make a recommendation, check out www.mp3.com/celldweller I'm notaffiliated with them or anything, but stylistically I thought it might besomething you'd enjoy, and I'm a long time fan and supporter of them. |
