Shawn Singer : Vocals Shawn has been singing in bands for 12 years. He was born in Ft. Bragg, NC and then raised in Ft. Myers, FL. Classically trained at Edison Community College, it was the sounds of Stryper that brought Shawn his love of vocal harmony. Relocating to Ft. Lauderdale and joining DROP in 1994 was a life long search coming to an end. Shawn takes his vocals to a new height with every show. Drawing from Alice in Chains, Saigon Kick, King's X, and others. Shawn has developed his own style and sound; adding rich textured vocals to DROP's dark melodic music. Moody, dark and always changing, keeps DROP shows very unique and original. Besides his singing and mucis, Shawn puts the Florida Panthers and NASCAR Racing right up there as his ultimate favorites. Wayne DeGarma : Guitar/Back up vocals "Savatage's doom with Queen like harmony. Only darker." That was Wayne's idea for DROP. Influenced by bands like Thin Lizzy and Gary Moore pretty much has molded Wayne into the guitar player that he is now. "I wanted to use Thin Lizzy's guitar harmony ideas as vocals. At the same time, drawing from Queen's great vocals". DROP is everything that Wayne has dreamed a band could be. He has never believed in another band as he has DROP. Besides the band, Wayne's biggest passion is racing. Basically, if it has 4 wheels and is being raced, you will find Wayne watching it. Brian Law : Drums Brian is a native Floridian being born and raised in Hollywood, FL. After taking his first drum lesson at the age of 9, he has been playing ever since. Brian joined DROP in 1998, bringing DROP to full circle. Rob Remias : Bass Born and raised in Cleveland, OH; Rob started attending concerts at a very young age. The Who, Bowie & KISS were early favorites that left a big impression on him. At the age of 17, he moved to Florida and joined his first band. Within 5 weeks, the first gig was underway and Rob found that performing became a mainstay in his agenda. He has always chosen the original music scene in his band travels. But his most recent influences are: Filter, Dream Theatre, KORN and Enya. |
