Artist History MANBITESBACK formed in the winter of 97 with few expectations. Unfortunately, our unique blend of pop, rock, blues and avant guard musical influences fused into an addictive mix of unexpected rock. We call it “Craprock”. And we love it. And that love shows in the form of lack of commitment and self-destructive behavior. But all kidding aside, MANBITESBACK is probably one of the most innovative rock bands that have come out of Lowell, MA in quite some time. Mike and Jay write most of our songs. With strong songwriting ability, these two form the nerve center of creativity for the band. Two words that would sum them up would be poetic power…or powerfully poetic… or cancerous growth. If mike did not screw around with animals and Jay could stay off the smack, these two could really go places…like to rehab. As the theory goes, everyone is given a gift. Sam’s gift is the ability to ruin a good meal with the most offensive comments about peoples race. He just can’t stop. And he smells funny…we are just to nice to say anything. But boy can he sing, about sex and reproductive organs. One person (me) once described his voice as a car horn in the middle of the night: Very nice, but you just wish it would stop. Others have called him one of most powerful and soulful singers that they have ever heard. If only he were not such a racist!Whenever you think of shoes, you think British knights. Whenever you think about sexual predators, you think peter. Lets just say he knows how to treat the boys right. He is a bonified nancy boy if you have ever seen one. And the boys tell me he really knows how to beat it. If you have ever seen a live show, you will know what I mean. Ask him and he may give you a personal and private show.As a child, Chuck was exposed to the horrific abuse of being forced to watch his pet goldfish (Okey-Dokey) being flushed down the toilet. He has never recovered from this event. When he does venture out side his room, it is best to hide the valuables. He has the habit of shoving things like silverware and diamond rings up his ass. This would be considered kleptomaniacal behavior, except he is usually very willing to return the goods. When asked why, he always responds…”I am looking for something, and I haven’t found it just yet…But it sure feels good.”If you were to ask anyone who has been to one of our shows what they thought was the greatest thing about MANBITESBACK; he would say the energy and excitement that we bring to the stage. The drive to entertain and play great rock music is what people will remember about MANBITESBACK as the bombs fall and the coming apocalypse consumes our society. All in all, we have energized every crowd that we have played for…except one, but we don’t like to talk about that night.We recently changed our name to DOGBUNNY.
