Artist description
they're new! they're old fashioned! they're modern and old timey! they're down to earth and up to date and in a groove and out of sight.they're the okanagan's first and finest hula blues band. the darylectones will take you from new orleans to hawaii, from the delta to the islands without you spilling your drink or even getting out of your easy chair. it's the blues but it's not, it's hawaiian but somehow not, in the same way that brunch isn't breakfast and it isn't lunch but it's still good and satisfying and you get a piece of a casaba melon at the end. that's the darylectone experience, except instead of a casaba melon you get a trombone. |

Artist History
The Darylectones are a group of musicians dedicated to faithful interpretations of the classics but who are seeking to push the boundaries of the genre by including diverse influences such as hawaiian and tango.Propelled by the three fisted bass playing of thom the blues torpedo pardoe the band is as likely to break into a tango as a two step as theycover their broad and diverse musical territory. rounding out the trio are dominic gouda on clarinet, trombone, djembe, and talking drum, and mr.fishbone on vocals and guitars. for an evening of sultry slide and languid lap steel, clarinet acrobatics and trenchant basslines, then an evening with the darylectones is just what the doctor ordered. |
