Artist History
Boomerang is not so much a “band” in the traditional sense, but a creative project featuring the combined talents of John Turner and Martin Walsh. These two long time friends started playing music together in college for kicks, until they found their interest and ability growing exponentially along with the alternative movement of the late 80’s and early 90’s. They are veteran alternative rock performers and songwriters who have been playing in and out of bands in the Providence-Boston circuit for almost ten years. They performed regionally and achieved national attention in competitions such as the Ticketmaster Music Showcase, and the Snickers’ New Music Poll. The old bands have passed on, but their desire and passion to write great music continues and grows stronger over time. The duo forms a perfect complimentary musical relationship, where both the music and lyrics are written collectively |
