Artist History
Formed in Montpellier, France in 1995 by singer/guitarist Maarten Reijmerink. Two years of intense song-writing, performing (opening for Sebadoh in Nov. 96) and recording (demo “The Circle” on local record-company Pot’Art) later, the band is relocated to Amsterdam, The Netherlands. With new band-members, a demo-tape is soon recorded, entitled “Arlesian Burst!”. Voted demo-of-the-month in local music-mag LixeXS, the band starts to attract attention from record companies and venues. Especially after the second demo “5500 Kelvin for daylight” is recorded in Amsterdam in February ’99, produced by Wouter Planteijdt. This mini-cd is well-received by the music-press and opens up many performing opportunities in major Dutch venues. The band is currently in negotiation with indie-label Fount Records. Now working on new material for first album to be recorded end of this year. bla bla bla….just listen to the music and make up your own mind. |
