Artist History 10 watt mary has been germinating in the New York hip hop and trip-hop music scene since '97. The band's sound conjures Brit-heavies Portishead andMassive Attack, crossed with a brighter hop sensibility a la Beastie Boys,Tupac etc. Their debut album to be released in October is a melange ofatmospheric hip-hop, jugular-tugging trip-pop, and ballads, featuring leadvocalist Eve Salvail, dragon-tattoed adrogyne discovered by Gualtier.
