Artist description You wouldn´t even guess that this band is not from England. In fact it´s from Hamburg/Germany. SIR MAYBE´s always been into the great british songsmiths like XTC´s Andy Partridge and Elvis Costello, and like good songs, he´s indestructible. At the moment SIR MAYBE play live in the Hamburg area and Northern Germany.

Artist History SIR MAYBE aka Ingolf Pencz was formerly the singer and guitarist of BEAT CRAZY, an acknowledged band of Germany´s North. After an unsuccessful record deal with a major company in the mid of the 90´s and being a case of "wrong place at the wrong time" the band split up. Since then SIR MAYBE concentrated more on his songwriting skills and recording abilities, always in search for "the perfect song". Influences are evident: The Beatles, XTC (the better Beatles), Squeeze, Elvis Costello. SIR MAYBE is a skilled physician and works in his own practice in Hamburg.

Group Members At the moment only Sir Maybe himself, playing all the instruments in the studio, but he works together with fellow musicians for live appearances
