Artist History
Marc Fruttero started composing classical music when he was 14.He later wrote pop music and studied singing.He also performed jazz concerts in Italy and recorded two pop songs with jazz singer Francesca Oliveri,who often sang with the Italian pianist Giorgio Gaslini.''When the snow falls down'',duet with F. Oliveri is contained in Marc's album''Back to the '80s-People to grow''.This present collection contains pieces with a typical'80s atmosphere:Disco dance and Easy listening with a strong melodic flavour.A little of New age too.''The seafarers''and''When the snow falls down''were arranged by G.Cal ,who also created some works for Paolo Conte and ballet music for ''Teatro alla Scala'' in Milan.The piano solo in''Oh nature''(and''Melodia'')is played by Franco Prochietto,a pianist with a great talent.The lyrics for''Crying for love''were written by Gregory Arena author of''A language by itself'',a tale which appeared in the magazine''Front and centre''.Marc Fruttero wrote words and music for almost all the songs contained in his album. -(Francesca Oliveri,courtesy of ''Dischi della Quercia'') -ARTISAN RECORDS/1999 RADIAN RECORDS-. |
