Artist History
Coming from a long line of musicians and performers, the seeds of this recipe were planted early. It wasn't until 1990 that the music began to heat up, however, when Patterson helped form an R&B/rap trio called "The Soul Patrol." After two years of writing, performing, producing, and recording, the group released a 5-song E.P. entitled Something Funky This Way Comes in 1992. The Soul Patrol went on to perform regionally at various clubs and college venues. In 1993, Leonard released his solo-songwriting debut entitled Prelude. The CD's biggest hit, "Misled" secured light radio air play on Indy's "Hoosier Hot 96". DJ Jon Cavallaro said: "Misled was a unanimous hit and a local favorite on my Saturday Night Party Mix." When asked what the experience was like, Leonard said: "It was great to have people -- that didn't already know me -- tell me they liked my music. At the same time, though, I knew this was only one small accomplishment in the big picture of the music biz." |

Press Reviews
Four stars is the only way you can describe LP2's benefit cd: Home of the Brave! The songwriting and performance on the CD show his unlimited potential; but to see Leonard 'live' helps you see the passion he has for leaving no stone unturned when searching for the answers we all look for in life. He's turned his emotions inside out on this disc and we're proud to be a part of this ongoing benefit for Lt. General Maude."
