Artist description
Laurie was born into a Jewish family in Los Angeles, California and raised in San Diego. She has always had a passion for music but was too shy in her younger years to pursue her interest. Laurie can remember the Lord calling her into the ministry, "I can still remember sitting in the synagogue listening to the Rabbi talk about the tower of Babel and the people speaking in other "tongues". I knew then the Lord had a calling on my life." Often She thought that it would be cool to tell God her desires and He would give them to her. At 12 years old Laurie found the desire of her heart, singing and playing guitar. Her best friend at the time gave Laurie her guitar and with a chord book and practice, she was on her way. Later she developed a talent and desire to write songs that she felt were from God. Laurie played and sang in a variety of places from "Top Gun" in Miramar, CA to military bases and restaurants. Before she entered in the Air Force in 1980, she was saved at a David Wilkerson Crusade. This led to the opportunity to audition for "Tops In Blue" and "Star Search" and sing in the Non-Commissioned and Commissioned Officer's clubs. The Lord is still opening doors for Laurie by letting her be able to go into the United Kingdom to sing and witness the gospel. Laurie has made arrangements to sell her debut CD, "Let My People Go" in the United Kingdom. "It's just awesome what the Lord has done for me and my sons. He healed me of cancer and healed my son from a kidney deformity... it is so incredible. I give all the glory and honor to God!" ADONAI ECHAD |
