Artist description
GENE EUGENE, formed in the spring of '98, play a myriad of power-pop originals and vast array of covers. Their quirky lyrics, off the wall antics, and catchy pop melodies make Gene Eugene one of the most entertaining bands in Chicago. Gene Eugene's dedicated following is extremely loyal and supportive. They've flocked all over Chicagoland to see Gene Eugene live at places like Gamekeepers, Hoghead McDunna's, Hidden Shamrock, and a host of private parties and events. Gene Eugene comes to any occasion prepared with a full PA (if needed) and a set list of over 75 songs. This female fronted band can do a set of all covers, all originals or anything in between depending on the venue and occasion. Gene Eugene is about one thing, having fun, both for themselves and the audience. No Ego's, No Metal, No Big Hair, No Tight Pants, just a good time wherever they play! |

Artist History
The response to GENE EUGENE has been nothing short of unbelievable. A creative set list combined with the bands charisma, humor, and crowd participation have earned GENE EUGENE a loyal following in their short tenure. From Vanilla Ice covers to wild Kazoo solos, this band is fun to watch and listen to. What started out as friends from college and high school all over Chicagoland getting together for a good time has turned into a "major event" every time the band takes the stage. |

Jessie Werhle (Vocals)This gal left a star studded college drama career for the fast past rock and roll lifestyle of Gene Eugene. Her beautiful voice has delighted theater go-ers for years and is sure tomake quite an impact on Chicago's music scene. VH-1 is already knocking on her door for next years Diva's concert. Steve Litos (Bass and Vocals)Formerly of Chicago favorites "Red Delicious" and "Dog Named Ditto," Steve is a veteran of the Chicago music scene having played bass since he heard his first Elvis Costello album at age seven. Steve's funky basslines and unique stage presence are legendary at local venues. Jim Lord (Guitar and Vocals)This Chicago native has been playing his guitar and writing songs since his first King Diamond and Testament shows at the VIC. Since then Jim has lost the long hair and heavy metal aggression to a love for pop melodies and surf guitar. Steve Gradman (Drums and Vocals)After a temporary relocation to L.A. where he played with popular cover outfit "Say Hello To Jimmie" and local Alternative band "IF" Steve has returned to his hometown where he formerly played with bands such as "Lorenzo Music." Steve's solid meter and humorous vocals took L.A. by storm and is sure to do likewise in front of his home crowd. Susan Gradman (Violin)This Chicago trial attorney puts down her law books and picks up her fiddle as a special guest at many Gene Eugene Shows, much to the crowds delight. |
