Artist History
Formed originally in 1995 by Rob and Tim, Boo Urns found its beginnings in original drummer Andy's basement. We were originally called Juice. We had two songs, one of them a mid-level hit among those who cared (nobody). The other one went over about as well as a fart in church. The band dissipated soon after, like a fart does, possibly in a church. Rob and Tim continued to jam, but Boo Urns was largely dormant. Rob had gone on to pursue the thankless task of playing bass for Silver Pepper. In summer 1999, Rob and Tim took it back to the studio to record their biggest hit ever, Fornever. Rob fathered twelve children from twelve women as a result of that song's popularity. Tim received twelve restraining orders from four women. Rob and Tim hit the road with touring drummer Jason "Peck" Ayers, hammering out an exhausting one-date tour at some coffee house in St. Cloud. It seemed cool at the time, and looking back, I guess it was. Well, actually it was dum |

Press Reviews
"One of the main problems associated with modern music is the loss of fan loyalty associated with being labeled a 'sell-out.' However, musicians universally seek recognition and popularity. Boo Urns has managed to avoid this dillema by not pursuing avenues where the opportunity to 'sell out' may arise, such as attempting to get a recording contract, touring and self-promotion, or rehearsal. Kudos to Boo Urns for eliminating the 'sell-out' schism by not having any fans to piss off in the first place." --Music Conne |
