Take the haunting lyrics of Yes and Rush, the ballsy, pompous, sound of Savatage and Dream Theater, and the intellectual prowess of Queensryche and Fates Warning, blend with 5 guys putting their all into every song, and you have...... perfection!A notch below that, you have Spokane Washington's premier Prog rock band, EIGHTFOLD PATH. |

Artist History
Founded in 1993,by Mike Calvert, under the name Beggar's Opera, 2 demos totally 4 songs were recorded and distributed. These Songs we recorded and mixed with Bob Gassert, and you can hear Purge here. In 1999, the band was in the studio preparing to record their first full length CD, "The Seeker", when it was discovered that the band name Beggar's Opera had already been trademarked. The name was then changed to Eightfold Path and the Cd is now being worked on with a tentative release date of March of 2000. Through many band line-ups and several lost oppurnities, the band is now in it's prime. They are dedicated to writing, recording and performing the best Progressive/metal that they possibily can. |
