Press Reviews
Blues Access: "A fine selection of acoustic blues - both originals andcovers - easy listening". (Fall, 1999)Omaha Reader: "C.A.'s..name may be new to you, but his CD proves he's got some serious chops. Some of Waller's originals, like "Gulf Coas Blues", and Red Beans & Rice" were ... so infections that I checked the liner notes expecting them to be obscure classicsand was delighted to find they are Waller's own compositions. His engaging vocal style is uptown with sleeves rolled up.He has the spirit of a solo Delta blues man mingled with the throaty, nonchalant delivery mojo of New Orleans' Dr. John." |
