Artist description
Bottle of Justus is on the verge of spreading their music to a national level. Their brand new album in titled America Cries is a collection of songs that are a direct example of the band's dedication towards songwriting. The album was recorded at Shiney On Top Studios in Bloomington, IL over an eight-month span. Bottle of Justus put a major emphasis on the production of America Cries. The album is more polished than their previous release Sunday Midwestern Afternoon, and shows how much the band has developed over the past year. America Cries has more of a "catchy rock/pop sound" to it compared to the old "roots rock" sound of their previous album. Bottle of Justus plans to continue making steps in order to spread their music to a larger audience.

Artist History
Twin brothers Chris Quinlan (lead vocals/rhythm guitar) and Joe Quinlan (lead guitar/vocals) started the band while freshman at Illinois State University in late 1997. The twin brothers came up with the band name "Bottle of Justus" when they were growing up in Charleston, IL. Chris and Joe named the band after close friend Justus Woolever (Justus would later join the band, but left the band after a year to pursue other interests). Chris and Joe soon met another freshman in college at I.S.U. who would join the band named Jeff Johnson (bass guitar). After meeting Erik Bogdonas (drums/percussion) at a college party, they realized he would be a perfect fit for Bottle of Justus. The band later added Mark Kindermann (saxophone) in 1999 to complete the lineup.
