Artist History
Thoughts Before Sleep began around 1997 as an outlet for the intensely introspective music I was writing at the time. In 1998, work was finished on "the raventree", which is still available online. I am in the stages of building a home studio for recording of the next album, which will most likely feature an expanded sound, including guitar tracks and perhaps even some guest vocals... |

Press Reviews
From the September 99 issue of Outburn: "this record is simply unbelievably good.. and I normally dont like synth based music! but this album has a great dark vibe going throughout the whole record! it will definitely appeal to fans of depeche mode’s darker stuff, and new age fans should love it too! there are no drums on the whole thing, and a good portion of the songs are instrumentals as well... I cant even begin to think of a favorite track on this record, they are all so well written...sole member aaron crandall’s vocals, when present, are very much in the soothing depeche mode vein... “the path beyond “ is an excellent slice of darkness... I recommend you seek out this record, and buy it immediately!" -- review by eboe (formerly known as gary thrasher) |
