Artist description You're Listening to Smiley's Sounds. Owned and operated by one guy, Smiley's Sounds runs off of a digital home studio. Powered by a Yamaha PSR-8000 MIDI keyboard and a Sony VAIO Laptop, loaded with digital audio apps, Cakewalk software, Sound Forge and Creative Digital Audio Center. Smiley's Studio rig includes the Akai MPC-2000XL, Alesis AirFX and Ego-Sys WaMi Box. I'm still working on expanding my studio, but I've just arrived in London and am currently trying to get all my equipment back home in the Cayman Islands shipped up here. Until then, I'll be working with mostly computer software and what few gadgets I've actually brought with me. Enjoy What's In Stock Though!

Artist History I've been doing tunes for as long as I can remember, on piano, keyboard or even video games. But it's only until recently that I've been able to create some noise you can enjoy. A devoted keyboardist, pianist, artist, songwriter and part-time clubber, I've been inspired by many block rockin sounds, to create some booming, bouncing electronic tunes of my own. Well, after following the calls of my dreams, I think I'm doing mighty fine so far. Smiley's Sounds is just over 2 years running now, and so far I've had some of my songs listed in the Top 50 in their genre, had a few on the local radio station back home, and I've been remixing for one of Mp3.com's artists, at the time, farily fresh to the club scene. I've moved over to London at the very start of 2002, and am hoping to really launch my career over here. I'm currently in school at SAE (School Of Audio Engineering) where I'll have the opportuntiy to work with professional studio equipment and become educated by the real geniuses of the music industry by adopting some new techniques and ideas.
