Artist description
I compose music in wide range of styles. My last recordings are close to New Age and neo-classical music, but my future projects will include progressive rock and electronic music releases. I'm in a process of setting up my page on MP3.com, and you will find a new music here almost every week. Come back regularly! You could download all my music for free, but if you really like it - please consider buying it as well. Thank you! |

Artist History
I grew up in St.Petersburg (Russia) and this city made me what I am now. At the age of eleven I entered music school (piano). I was not excited about it and quit in a couple years. Nevertheless, I continued playing piano for myself, composed melodies and played well-known jazz tunes "by ear". It all began when I first dreamed music... It happens quite rarely, but I still have music dreams. Sometimes I'm able to catch a melody or even an arrangement. Do not envy me - dreaming is not the way I make music. I mentioned this only to make a point that my music indeed can come to me itself, without being composed. At certain moments I simply know how it should sound. And this is the music I treasure the most, it's alive, it's mine. I'm calling my inner music the Personal music. I'm not going to make it "better" or to change its style. I'm simply trying to translate my own inner harmony into real sounds. I believe that there are people who can hear this music as if it came from the depth of their hearts. And I've set up this page for them. |

Press Reviews
"It may be uncool to use such a word, but Pavel Fomitchov's CD "The Personal Music" is utterly charming. The majority of this collection of beautiful, melodic, and whimsical instrumentals carries strains of medieval music along with fantasy textures. With titles like "Galadriel's song," "Hall of Rivendell" and "Death of Elvish King " it's no wonder that the songs sound the way they do. This is an excellent recording full of imaginative, warm and engaging electronic keyboard music." Bill Binkelman "WIND AND WIRE" The Magazine of New Instrumental Music |
