    Press Reviews
LISTENER AND RADIO COMMENTS: Well, Mat is one of the upcoming stars of contemporary jazz. Incredible how quickly he gets connections to all greats of jazz. Listen to some tunes and you will state his genius - HBH, www.smooth-jazz.de * Wo!! Does he rock indeed. Exciting jazz...totally pro, unique, and definitely jazz!!! Watch him collect some grammies!!! - Tingle * Mathias Claus is a great musician and fellow human being ! It was my express pleasure to collaborate with Mat this year. I look to foward Mathias in Concert !! Patti sterling, LA * The first thing I heard by keyboardist/composer Mathias Claus was "Miles Bytes", and I've been hooked ever since. This guy plays the keyboards the way I'd eventually like to be able to (albeit in my own style). Mathias brings great technique, versatility, and passion to everything I've heard of his. And, a great bonus is that he's collaborated with some really fine world class singers and musicians on many of his tracks. I've listened to all the tracks on the "Best of Jazz That Rocks" cd and the "Piano Solo Works". All the pieces are like mini-symphonies to my ear. Mostly jazzy rocking, somewhat funky, sometimes latin flavored ones, but also some mellow new agey, even some neoclassical, stuff. There's a lot happening in these compositions and arrangements * Tom Trotter, CT/USA* * Mathias Claus is is a fine pianist demonstrating a diversity in style capabilities from jazz, latin, and ballad playing, to mainstream funk, and rock. He has a forward-looking approach to music exemplified in his use of extended Zawinul-like chord voicings and his synthesizer pad atmospheres. His jazz solos swing, his funk kicks, and his ballad playing is rhapsodic * Mathias is for many of us a very important referring like musician and producer, and also our guru in Internet * For me It was a really pleasure to collaborate with one of the best writer and producer I met on line!! His music has reached my heart first of my rhythm...Viva Mat!! * A talented keyboard player and multi instrumentalist with an international following. His work includes collaborations with world class jazz singers and instrumentalists. Top marks in my book * I was stunned by the quality. As per previous reviews his music is a kind of Chick Corea meets Weather Report but that is almost being unkind because he has his own unique sound as well. Superb collaboration work, full of energy, this music is a must listen! (And he is a nice guy too!) * Wish I had your hands...wonderful pieces of music * I'm very impressed by the musical and technical qualities. You're very right when you're saying "Jazz that rocks"!
