Artist description A Soundperformance with the Hamburg concept-artistFranz Erhard Walther in 1993 led to the setup of the group 'materialklang', exploring sounds on the border to Fine Arts.Beside Franz Erhard Walther work Wiesbaden percussionist Wolfgang Schliemann, Oldenburg artists andtrombonist Jan -Peter Sonntag and Bremerhaven composer Jens Carstensen at a performance, focussing on sounds from steel, metal, glass, slates, wood, styropor, pipes, mouthpieces, sticks, microphones, electronics and loudspeakers. In the meantime the quartet performed a series of great concerts in Art-Museums ,Galeries and on Sound-Art-Festivals.
