Artist description
Joel Emberson is an independent Songwriter/Producer/Guitarist from Ontario, Canada. Influenced by a wide range of artists including Neil Young, Lisa Loeb, Pearl Jam and Sloan, his fusion of pop melodies and rock structures make an interesting combination. Joel's self-produced solo debut, Sketchy, was released in limited quantities in late 1999. He is currently working on his second album, tentatively titled "Pretenses". |

Artist History
After being in the successful rock quintet Nine Men Morris, Joel studied Record Production at Fanshawe College for 2 years. While there, he joined the three-piece pop-rock band 77. After that band split up, Joel recorded a 13-song solo album titled Sketchy. Joel spent 2001 playing with the Canadian Rock band star.star, as well as working on his second solo album. |
