Artist description Joel Emberson is an independent Songwriter/Producer/Guitarist from Ontario, Canada. Influenced by a wide range of artists including Neil Young, Lisa Loeb, Pearl Jam and Sloan, his fusion of pop melodies and rock structures make an interesting combination. Joel's self-produced solo debut, Sketchy, was released in limited quantities in late 1999. He is currently working on his second album, tentatively titled "Pretenses".

Artist History After being in the successful rock quintet Nine Men Morris, Joel studied Record Production at Fanshawe College for 2 years. While there, he joined the three-piece pop-rock band 77. After that band split up, Joel recorded a 13-song solo album titled Sketchy. Joel spent 2001 playing with the Canadian Rock band star.star, as well as working on his second solo album.
