    Artist History
Basement Technologic was born in the frantic days of the early nineteen-nineties. Originally entitled "Jay Kaos Synthpop Band", it was started as a fun "side project" to the many bands i was in at the time. Yearning for a resurrection of the popularity of new wave synth music (*note: since writing this, it has happened.), i embarked on my personal revolution to make it "cool" again. Utilizing a tape recorder and some second-hand keyboards i wrote and recorded many songs i hoped to someday re-record with better resources. So while i'm waiting for a visionary philanthropist to fund a trip to a real studio, i manage with what i have. Between the 'then' and 'now' though, i went through a few wacky adventures - gotten a little older and a lot more jaded about everything on this planet. However i believe the unique essence of my music has remained the same. So, between work and real life i manage to create the fine music of Basement Technologic.

    Press Reviews
"Analog-sounding synths snap, crackle and pop to a Techno beat. Demure male vocals croon like they did back in the day -- when the girls wore creepers, smoked cloves, and pretended to be uninterested in guys. The New Wave modulations of Basement Technologic are both retrospective and innovative." –Listen.com -------------------------- "..cool, danceable and sometimes disharmonic.. It's like Kraftwerk + Depeche Mode in the Year 2000... really good!" -Marko B., Music Review
