    Artist History
Members of the band have in the past been associatedwith known sonic criminals Reverend (aka Pidjen)and Static Eden. Formed in 1998 by Marcel Dube and James Rooke, the band wrote, rehearsed and recorded the beginnings of what is now 11:11 over the next year which they released in a DIY album entitled "Spy vs. Spy" in '99/'00 which is available from the bands website. Since then 11:11 has matured and grown into what could possibly be described as a really good rock group. Still seeking a label for their newest recordings ( done in spring/summer 2001)that were completed at the CBC in Toronto with producer Jim LaMarche, the band is set to record their third album in May, again at the CBC. Touring relentlessly in such places as Toronto, Guelph, St. Catherines, Montreal, Shelburne, Acton and other areas rural and metro in Ontario/Quebec, the band will not quit any time soon- so look for 'em somewhere near you not too far in the future.

What would happen if Nirvana, Jane's Addiction, Madonna and Metallica ingested LSD in the Egyptian desert and were subsequently abducted by aliens? The world will probably never know, but the soundtrack to their unlikely trip could fittingly be the music of 11:11. The band's exciting sound is formed by combining the five disparate musical personalities of Shaun Christie (bass), Marcel Dubé (guitar/vox), Austin Gibson (drums), Greg Richmond (guitar) and James Rooke (vocals/guitar). Melding a punishing hard rock assault with achingly beautiful chill-outs, eerie exotic flavours, layered ambience and a tongue in cheek pop sensibility, they've created a soundscape that is as fresh and cerebral as it is listenable. 11:11 is set to release their debut CD album, a project a year in the works, and well worth the wait. The band has used the studio as a tool, and crafted an album that reflects the panoramic scope of their musical vision. Currently, the band is playing shows throughout the region of southern Ontario and beyond. Check this music out; you'll be glad you found it. Maybe you just did.
