Artist History
Women of Sodom have an underground international cult following.They have headlined shows in NYC, Chicago, Ohio, New Orleans (on BourbonStreet during Mardi Gras), Boston and all along the east coast of the US.They have opened for Lords of Acid, Gwar, Chem Lab, God Lives Underwater,My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult, Electric Hellfire Club, Psychotica, and many others.Their lead singer had a cameo appearance on an MTV sitcom and played BettyPage in the Amazing Crown's (another band from Boston) video which was inrotation on MTV. Women of Sodom's video for "Boots" was in rotation onMUCH Music in Canada. The band was a winner in The Boston Phoenix's BestMusic Poll in the category of "Most Deviant Act". Women of Sodom were in the top 40 on mp3.com twice when they first added their songs in early 1999. The band is currently ona temporary hiatus from playing live shows to pursue other artisticendeavors. |
