Artist description
When asked by the Columbus Dispatch about the staying power of the Swing Movement in popular music, Wolfgang Parker replied, "The faster I get in front of the American public, the longer it will last."
Parker has been a man on a mission for the past five years. That mission you ask, to bring back style in American Rock ‘n’ Roll via Swing. As a result, Parker has become THE cutting edge artist in the neuveau swing movement. Personifying not only the new Swing Crooner but the long lost American Rock Star, rebellious, glamorous, raw and untouchable.
Live, Parker captures the wild rollicking fun of ‘old school’ Swing and serves it up in Rock Steady Dance Time. For the music fan, Parker’s original song styling brings a legitimacy that has not been seen or heard in the new Swing Movement. Dynamic and super-stylish, Parker has created a music sub-genre that the press has dubbed ‘Acid Swing’ avoiding the ‘same-song-syndrome.’
Captivating audiences wherever he goes, Wolfgang has graced stages with such acts as: Royal Crown Review, Cherry Poppin’ Daddies, Squirrel Nut Zippers, Indigo Swing and Big Bad Voodoo Daddy.
This original sound is achieved by three, yes, three players. Veteran drummer James Oberlin has been show-stopping with Parker for 4 years, not since Gene Krupa has the Swing World heard such power an skill. "Guitarist Extrodinaire" Alan Mauger thrills audiences with "Slash and Burn" solos carrying the tradition of Masters like Django Reinhart. Playing the crowds center stage, singer-bassist Wolfgang Parker provides the looks and the lifestyle. Together, the night goes off like a shotgun.
With critically acclaimed recordings being embraced by swing and Rock ‘n’ Roll audiences alike. The ‘Swing Prince of Megalomania’ is poised to be the scenes first Super Star.

Press Reviews
In nearby Columbus, the midwestern capital of punk, Wolfgang Parker has been applying his trade for over 5 years. Parker is the bass-playing, songwriting, frontman, singer and namesake of acid swing's most powerful trio. Acting as a bridge between punk and swing, Parker's ensemble only resembles a swing band in fashion, image and style -- attitude is an entirely different thing. This is not a swing band as you know it; this is a rock trio that swings is bloody ass off. It's hard to imagine "Sing, Sing, Sing" without any horns but that is exactly what the Parker version is: hornless, with a power guitar feedbacking, wailing elephant screams, propulsive electric bass, and pounding drums sculpting a post-apocalyptic sonic landscape.
Maybe power swing isnt your thing. But for those who come from the hard rock lineage, this is the best of both worlds: head-banging swing. In Columbus, where punk is king, you've got to have a lot of attitude to break through the throngs, and that's exactly what Wolfgang Parker does. One can only imagine what would happen should Mr. Parker and crew ever hook up with a horn section. Kablooey, Baby!
