Artist description
Seattle duo of ten years with five CDs released to date. Felicia Dale takes
the ancient sounds of the hurdy-gurdy and whistle far beyond their traditional
roles. William Pint's guitar work runs from delicate song accompaniment to the
driving rythmn of Celtic rock. They perform songs of the sea and sailors (but not the usual,
overworked ones), with hurdy-gurdy, guitar, mandola and tin whistle.
Powerful singing voices, contemporary arrangements that respect the
spirit of the music and the people who created it. |
|
Music Style
Traditional folk songs from the age of tall ships and contemporary songs and music with a nautical theme. |
|
Musical Influences
Influences of Steeleye Span, Fairport Convention, Martin Carthy and other British and Celtic artists can be heard (as well as a touch of the Who at times!). |
