Press Reviews
The Indulgers fuse traditional music with rock 'n' roll. Rocky Mountain News - Denver's Shamrocking-est band. Denver Post - The Indulgers' music is upbeat, danceable, and easy for non-Celtic fans to listen to. It's different from traditional Celtic music in that it has a rock/pop edge, without sounding too contrived or commercial. There are enough undertones to remind the listener the band is Irish, without dominating the sound." Colorado Springs Gazette - The Indulgers are a Golden-based original Celtic rock band that has maintained its cultural integrity while at the same time including rock instruments like electric guitars and cocktail drums to produce a sound more familiar to American audiences — rock ’n’ roll. Colorado Springs Independent - The band’s mixture of Irish and rock sounds is precise, and respectful to both genres. O'Connell St. Magazine - Fun, Irish/Celtic rock band that fuses contemporary songs with traditional themes and adds fiddle/whistles/accordians to a rock rhythm section. Dirty Linen Magazine - "The Indulgers take the traditional and folk forms of Irish and add electricity to create a original modern Celtic rock and roll sound." Irish Music Box - fusing rock and Celtic sounds..they are absolutely unique!". Vail Daily - semi-acoustic rock layered with folksy touches straight from the Emerald Isle". The Westword - Celtic trad and rock 'n' roll without sapping the vigor of either style. Boulder Weekly - The band grabs you, pulls you to your feet and mercilessly keeps you there to the end. Magephony - They are certainly worth the listening! GreenManReview |
