Artist description
A sextet comprised of drums, bass, guitar, singer, and two reed players (usually sax), the group performs all original music that blends elements of funk, bebop, Latin, hardcore, rock, and just a hint of Loverboy. Founded in October of 1996, PBD has already won top honors in two different band competitions in Connecticut and New York. They are currently maintaining an extremely active gig schedule in Connecticut, New York and have recently expanded to Rhode Island. Punch Bowl Drive is also shopping and promoting their self produced CD, "Face down in the Pintos," to several independent labels, booking agents and management companies. |

Artist History
The primary aim of the band is reasonably simple - to play challenging, satisfying music that anyone can get into and to have as much fun as humanly possible. Or as written by Stephanie Ramp in the Fairfield Weekly: to "get as energized as possible without breaking things." |
