Artist History
Bombay June came into existence three years ago, as a solo project designed to highlight some of the songs Jo Kenn had written. After an initial period which saw the band go through various personnel changes and musical styles, it evolved into its present form, when guitarist Pat Harrington began co-writing material with Jo.
Bombay June has played most of NYC’s top clubs over the last three years, steadily building a devoted fan base because of the intensity of its music and the sheer musicianship, dedication and professionalism of its members. In addition to Pat on guitar, the band features bassist, Tony Richey , and Sandor L. Szatmari on drums.
Bombay June’s music is hard-hitting, intense and highly emotional, like a musical jackhammer. It captures the attention of its listeners and takes them on a joyride of raw power and lyrical imagery, one minute creating dark, brooding landscapes and later on evoking highly personal paintings of the mind, that never fail to amaze and entertain.
Recent reviews of the band’s previously-released material showcase this attitude. "Gritty and gutsy enough for the hard popular market.....Jo has an amazing voice.....Pat is stellar on guitar.....".

Press Reviews
Bombay June won runners up in CD NOW UNheard! contest.
December 6, 1998 - Improvijazzation Nation has reviewed "Hundred Pound Dog Head":
Bombay June: HUNDRED POUND DOG HEAD - Achtung! Warnung! Danger ahead! It'll be YO' head, if yer' not prepared fer' this hard-rawkin' ram-jam CD! As yer' might imagine, those git-arz' will have yer' dreamin' (even at 52) of gittin' OUT on that Harley & ROLLIN' on down th' road. Every good Baptist needs to bring out that evil they been hoardin' (down under) once in a while - & th' kickin' bass (Louis Espinoza), slammin' drumz' (Manny Marks) & grindin' lead/rhythm git-arz' (Pat Harrington) will bring out yer' darkest side, verzure - & that doesn't even account fer' those hairy lead vox (Jo Kenn)! Those with "Pollyanna" stamped on their foreheads need not apply. As th' title implies (fer' this reviewer, ennyway), we're all (at times) jus' "junkyard dawgs", yoh? If yer' IN to blood-pumpin' power rawk, this comes RECOMMENDED without doubt!
