Artist description Ashcan School has been haunting Seattle clubs and bars since 1996. Their music has been compared to 60’s era bands such as the Grateful Dead and the Doors. Now after sessions in the ghost ridden studio where Nirvana recorded their first album, Ashcan School has emerged with their debut CD “down by the tracks” (released in late 1998). The response tothe album has been overwhelming. Radio interviews, huge turnouts at concerts and general pandemonium have threatened their Indie status, but the boys play on in their beloved Pacific Northwest.
