Artist History
Rob met Robert Messore in 1985 and they started jamming immediately. Van Halen's "Jump" was first followed by various and assundry tunes by The Cars, Journey, Rick Springfield and others. In July of 1988, Robert brought Rob on a Christian retreat. Rob heard of the great love the Father has for us and decided to live the rest of his life committed to Christ. Right away he began writing contemporary Christian music, before he knew there was such a thing. "Out of the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks." Going away to separate colleges made it hard to play together. While earning a degree in Music Education at Western CT State University, Rob met his violinist, backing vocalist, and wife to be Christine Hershey. Married in 1995, they started playing regularly. Now Robert is busy with his own solo finger style guitar music, but still finds time to accompany Rob and Christine as a member of Rob Carter and The Blueprints. (The Blueprints, by the way, refer to the Bible. God has given it to us as, among other things, a blueprint for our lives). |
