Artist History
While many striving artists in today's music industry rely on the talents and services of other individuals for the success of his/her career, SID has managed to pave a way for himself. In 1997, SID started Regnad Records, his own independent rap label/production company. He began recording songs that he wrote and produced. Eager to have his music heard, SID had copies of his songs dupliclated and distributed. From 1997-1999, SID continued to write songs and get them tight in the studio. In 1999, Regnad Records became affiliated with BMI (Broadcast Music Inc.) as a publisher(Regnad Recordings). In July 2000, SID completed Modern Day Sins. Through a term known as guerilla marketing (simply, selling your record out of the trunk of your car), Regnad Records has distributed over 1000 copies of the CD.More recently, SID has been performing his songs at various hip-hop showcases in the New York area with hopes of developing new industry contacts and increasing his buzz. |
