Artist description
A terrifying and beautiful ride through territories little explored by most "rock" bands, including rythmic harsh noise, dub, and blisteringly heavy drone rock. All done with a heavy contempt for people, convention, and pretension; plus a tongue-in-cheek sense of humor. |

Artist History
Gevalt formed from the bands Fallacy, Narceia, Turretz, and SDM, all names nobody knows, in fall 1998. They proceeded to play many high-profile shows, with the likes of KK Null, Walking Timebombs, Rusted Shut, and Quick Step Manuever. Nobody noticed. Evin Kicked everybody out and is now recording the debut EP Home. Nobody can tell the difference. |

Press Reviews
"By the third song, I felt like I was going to vomit on the floor; in a good way, mind you." - David Perez "I've heard a few rough tracks from the 'earlier' (I'm assuming) variety of Gevalt, and it was really good sludgy noise rock." - Creaig Dunton, False Prophet Campaign "I have no idea who Gevalt is." - David, Sound Exchange |
