The music was birthed purely from what we felt, an imitation of nothing. A sound unclassifiable as anything but reflections of our collective souls.

Artist History Through the fall of 1998, plans were discussed online to exchange tapes. The guitarist, Andy Marzano, gave a tape filled with guitar pieces he'd written, for a tape of vocalist Esther Mathison's which contained original a capella songs. The two worked on their tapes and combined in January of 1999 for the first A Thousand Young practice. Their first show in March contained 8 original songs and one cover. Now there are 16 original songs and one 8 track CD.
