Artist History
Tomas Michaud is a master guitarist, composer and producer who has been possessed by the muse of music since before he was ten years of age. With prodigious acumen, Tomas developed his musical technique with the trumpet, electric bass and mandolin before he discovered his first love, guitar, at the age of fourteen. Soon he was performing throughout the San Francisco Bay Area developing a popular following which now numbers in the thousands.Tomas graduated from California State University at Hayward and has expanded his musical influences by visiting such destinations throughout the world as Spain, Puerto Rico, Mexico and other Latin American countries. His most memorable excursion was visiting a village healer in Guatemala while hiking next to an erupting volcano, Mount Pecaya. In addition to his concert and recording successes, Tomas has developed an innovative course in guitar instruction. He founded and operates the Starland Music Center in Alameda, California, which has a student enrollment of over 300, ranging in ages from four to seventy-four.“I would like to reach deep into each person’s heart with my music and have them feel the connection we all have as humans through the love and joy as well as the sorrow and longing” says Tomas.Tomas is busy working on writing songs and performs on a regular. He has two wonderful daughters, Melane and Angela, who help him with his album cover designs. |

Press Reviews
What People Say “A solid offering for fans of Ottmar Liebert. Michaud’s stylings and arrangements are as particularly tender as the title suggest. Perfect for a candlelight dinner or evening on the terrace with that special someone.”Peggy Randall, Napra Review“The music is flamenco-laced and Latin at heart but it does different things to the soul and the imagination--it conjures up images of crashing ocean waves against cool sands, horseback rides in the country side, and raspberry-tinted skies at sunset.... Heart Coming Home, an enduring romantic collection of tunes that stirs up sensuous, fiery, passionate emotions.” Elizabeth Goodwin, Alameda Times Star ReviewHeart Coming Home is unabashedly romantic music. Michaud’s intoxicating melodies set our imaginations and our hearts free. New Age Retailer ReviewA world class performer, Tomas will dance with you as he transmits the energy of his live concerts to this refined and impressive studio work.Grayhawk, Deepspace Discs |
