Artist History
Tilt Willy (1994-2000 ) Born in the studio out of old band mates from a previous century. We've done a couple of small projects and are looking at getting back to the studio in early 2000. UPDATE: Well, we never did get back to the studio and Tilt Willy has passed on now. Is there a market for this crap? I honestly don't know. As my acquaintance, the famed engineer/producer Chuck Zweiky once told me "Success in this biz has nothing to do do with how good you are as a writer or musician or which guitar you use, it has everything to do with perception. You must be percieved by fans and potential fans as the 'in' thing. People will drift toward an artist if there is a buzz about them. Greenday is a great example. They didn't seek the fame but it found them because they created a stir and buzz that grew by word o mouth and reputation. While there is no doubt that entities like MP3.com are wonderful vehicles for artists we will always need record company A&R people and FM radio to push us over the top. |
