Artist description
Patty Kakac from Evansville MN, is a well known singer-songwriter in the folk music subculture of Minnesota. Her music speaks of her love of nature, and mirrors the human condition. Patty has appeared with such notables as Garrison Keillor, Bill Staines, Ann Reed, and the Kingston Trio. Her "HEART OF A WOMAN" CD released in 1992 has been well recieved. Her newest release "PATCHWORK" features her best work to date. Patty, and her band the "Pinetones", have been doing concerts around the state of MN on a regular basis for many years. In an age in which electronic and computer driven enhancements have left us wondering at times whether we are listening to a machine or human, Patty's music stands out as the real thing. A pure folk singer in the tradition of Judy Collins, and Joan Baez, but with a little twist of country that will satisfy the most ardent Maybelle Carter or Patsy Cline fan. For a totally enjoyable experience of acoustic folk music, Patty and the Pinetones are hard to beat. |
