Artist History
The saga of Laidlaw is one of true perseverance. Formed nine years ago in Orange County, CA by guitarist Craig DeFalco and slide guitarist Buzzy James, Laidlaw toiled in obscurity at clubs and endured countless rejections by record companies before Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx heard a demo, put the band onstage to open a Crue show, subsequently signed them as the first act on his Americoma label (distributed by Beyond Music) and produced First Big Picnic, the debut CD. Featuring lead singer Tommy Roberts, bassist Michael Norton and drummer Darrell Miller (formerly of Killer Dwarfs) in addition to DeFalco and James, Laidlaw is a take no prisoners, tear it up, hard rock band with a decidedly Southern flavor. |
