Artist History Jo Gabriel is an enigmatic Long Island, New York basedsinger/songwriter and pianist. While she is often assumed to beclassically trained; she is almost completely self-taught. Her musicstands unique within the realm of female artists. Jo’sother-worldliness is legendary for capturing any audience at any kind ofvenue.Jo’s debut “Lying in the Evidence of Love” was voted one of theNebula’s Modern Musician Monthly’s top indie pick of the month for theJuly, 1996 issue. She is currently a featured artist with Harmony Ridge, online review site for female artists The album has been described as“emotionally evocative, powerful and lyrically ethereal, throughout,Gabriel shows her talent as a vocalist totally in control of herinstrument as well as an accomplished pianist”.
