Artist description I have an HR-16, a couple of guitars and effects pedals, and a Tascam 4-track. If I can get acoustic drums--all the better. Usually I just record with the drum machine, so don't let that offend you purists (I know your type--I once was one of you), because the songs are usually pretty decent.

Artist History Formed in 1995, recorded "Tape Travels" on the ol' 4-track in 1996 (and released it that year), still trying to soldier on. Actually I started Handtruck as a solo project, with slide shows and playing to backing tracks I had pre-recorded on my antiquated 4-track. After the last live Handtruck line-up fell apart in Oct. '98, I decided I'd play solo and spent several months working up songs I could sing by myself, like "Deacon Blues," "Let's Make The Water Turn Black," and "There You Are" (by the Flaming Lips). Not exactly James Taylor, but it was stuff I enjoyed. I played exactly one gig like that (opening for Hattiesburg pals Thirteen) and decided that wasn't really for me. Then I hooked up with Buffalo Nickel in April '99 and started learning the country genre, which is harder and way more enjoyable than I ever thought it would be. But I'm a rocker at heart, so I want to get some of my stuff out to the world, even if it's just to the few people who come here by accident every few months. I'm in the process of digitizing some stuff right now, so come back soon and hopefully there will be a lot more music you can sift through.
