I've yet to hear a more powerful and breathtaking instrument than Shoshana's voice. Her operatic style is what gives her the presentation that is simply mind-blowing. The music has many twist throughout, but lingers on the edges of power pop and adult contemporary. With Shoshana's vocal style, the music could almost be considered a progressive blend of pop. The diversity in this music is very refreshing and something that I've yet to have blissfully grace my presence in a long time. The album starts out with a powerful a cappella explosion from the song 'The Dance' and continues on through the many colors of Shoshana's Anam Cara. The music is very inspiring and paints many wonderful images that create a dreamlike journey for your soul. Music that moves you, refreshes your imagination and opens your soul. Artist History Originally starting as Shoshana's Anam Cara the band formed to mark Shoshana's original music in CD form. The band has taken many turns adding and subtracting players as they were needed - or wanted- and finally settled on a fantastic and powerful group now known as "Avalon". The band combines numerous influences of pop, jazz and funk into a fun, legendary rock band. Can they really utilize all those musical influences- you bet! Shoshana and Kimberly are classically trained vocalists who teeter on the edge of raw sensual power and divine-ness. Their voices blend perfectly from power driven songs like "Living in the Combat Zone" to dance tunes "Dance of Aphrodite" and back to sublime on "On the Edge of Purple skies". You will be hard pressed to find a more diverse- well executed band such as this....
